Erika Ramsey is a practicing artist and photographer living in Minneapolis. She received a studio art degree from St. Olaf College in 1995. After college she worked in desktop publishing, graphic design, and marketing and continued to take photographs while living all over the U.S. as well as the Caribbean for two years.

After settling in Minnesota, she took a class called Contemporary Abstract Painting, taught by Ellen Richman, at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts. She found abstract painting to be incredibly stimulating and welcomed the challenge to communicate visually without the use of recognizable forms found in reality.

Whether landscape photography or abstract painting, Erika’s goal is to continue to develop as an artist in both mediums and produce artwork that she is proud to share.
